We live in a unique time in the history of the world. Our “being” in the world at this time and place is not only providential but sovereignly ordained. God Made you and I to be at this place at this time to help fulfill his will for humanity. One of our many joys in this life is to help other people live and flourish. Continue reading

The Bible begins with the words, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1).” It is difficult to imagine nothing: no white room, no bright light, just nothing. Whether over seven literal days or through some instantaneous initiatory event, like a big bang, the Bible affirms that God spoke all creation into existence. Every star in the sky, celestial satellite, atom, molecule, tree leaf, and toenail resulted from God’s creative act. Continue reading

The belief that God exists as Trinity distinguishes Christianity from other religions.
You might be surprised that the word Trinity appears nowhere in the Bible. The concept of the Trinity, however, fills the pages of Scripture. Continue reading

Anglican Bishop J.C. Ryle writes:
“There is nothing which shows our ignorance so much as our impatience under trouble. We forget that every cross is a message from God, intended to do us good in the end. Trials are intended to make us think — to wean us from the world — to send us to the Bible — to drive us to our knees. Health is a good thing; but sickness is far better, if it leads us to God. Prosperity is a great mercy; but adversity is a greater one if it brings us to Christ. Anything, anything is better than living in indifference and dying in sin.”

I have been in the nursing profession for 10 years now. I am an LPN and have experienced nursing in a hospital setting, home health, and now in family practice. We in America, despite the dysfunction of our medical system, live in a time and place of unprecedented health benefits. Although many people do not get the health care they need, many do. We should be thankful to God for these blessings. Many people travel from around the world to have health care in our country. Continue reading

In our popular culture being “ghosted” means to cut off all communication with someone without explanation. Many people feel they have been ghosted by God. So where is God? Have you looked for him? Why is he hidden from us? If he is sovereign and all powerful and loving, would it not be wise to reveal himself more readily to humanity? Continue reading

As men, as fathers our model is God the Father.
A good Father is a miracle formed by God. No man has the necessary gifts, strength, and determination to love a woman and their children in a way that happily and selflessly sacrifices for their needs and consistently leads them to Christlikeness.
Many of us grew up with fathers that did not lead their children to God and his love; instead they thoughtlessly and selfishly provoked us to discouragement and anger. Continue reading

The Fear of God, what does it mean? God loves us, he is our Father yet he is a Holy Supernatural being so far removed from us it that it is death (Exodus 33:20-22) for sinful humans to look upon him. Christ then is the way we see God. We fear him because we have rebelled against him. Continue reading

In C.S. Lewis’ The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe, Peter and Susan are troubled by their youngest sister Lucie’s claim she had entered a magical world through a wardrobe in a large, old house. Lucie claims their brother Edward visited this world too, but Edward denies it. Peter and Susan decide to visit the professor, who owns the house, for advice.
To their surprise, the professor says, “How do you know…your sister’s story is not true?” Continue reading
